Next, marvel at the grandeur of the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Conclude the day with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace complex showcasing exquisite Nepalese art and architecture. Relish authentic Nepali cuisine for lunch before returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan. The aerial views of the Himalayas during the flight are truly breathtaking. Upon arrival in Paro, guests will be welcomed by our Bhutanese team and transferred to a cozy hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming town of Paro or unwind in the tranquil ambiance of your accommodations.

Sightseeing and Acclimatization Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Begin the day with a hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside. This sacred site, also known as Taktsang Monastery, offers stunning views of the Paro Valley and a fascinating insight into Bhutanese Buddhism. The hike is moderately challenging but immensely rewarding. After exploring the monastery and soaking in the serene atmosphere, return to Paro for a comfortable evening at the hotel.

Drive to Ta Dzong (2,487m) and Trek to Jele Dzong (3,400m)
The trekking adventure kicks off with a drive to Ta Dzong, the starting point of the Druk Path Trek. The trail ascends gradually through lush pine forests and vibrant meadows, leading to Jele Dzong, an ancient monastery offering panoramic views of the Paro Valley. This first day on the trail provides a wonderful introduction to Bhutan’s pristine wilderness. Overnight in a tented camp, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Trek from Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (3,650m)
We continue trekking through scenic rhododendron forests and open ridges with sweeping views of the Himalayan peaks. Along the way, one can encounter local yak herders and gain a glimpse into the simplicity of their mountain lifestyle. This relatively short trek allows plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings before reaching the campsite at Jangchulakha.

Trek from Jangchulakha to Jimilangtsho (3,870m)
Today’s trail leads to the stunning Jimilangtsho Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters that reflect the surrounding peaks. Trekking through the diverse terrain, keep an eye out for wildlife such as blue sheep and various bird species. Upon reaching the lake, we set up the camp and take in the serene beauty of this alpine gem.

Trek from Jimilangtsho to Simkotra Tsho (4,110m)
The trek continues through rugged terrain and along high ridges to Simkotra Tsho, a pristine alpine lake surrounded by towering peaks. The journey offers breathtaking views and opportunities to spot yak herders’ camps. The tranquility of Simkotra Tsho provides a perfect setting for an overnight camp, where one can enjoy the peaceful wilderness under a starlit sky.

Trek from Simkotra Tsho to Thimphu via Phajodhing
On the final day of the trek, descend through forested trails and past the Phajodhing Monastery, a serene spiritual retreat. Arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, where you’ll have the chance to explore its vibrant streets and cultural landmarks. Relax in a comfortable hotel as we celebrate the completion of the trek with a delicious Bhutanese meal.
