Arrival in Paro - Drive to Thimphu
The journey begins with a flight to Paro, Bhutan's only international airport. After clearing immigration, we will transfer guests to Thimphu, the capital city. Enjoy the scenic drive as one passes through lush landscapes, traditional villages, and terraced fields. Upon arrival in Thimphu, we’ll check into the hotel, followed by an evening at leisure to explore the vibrant city center or rest after the travels.

Thimphu Sightseeing
We will start the exploration of Thimphu with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, a fortress-monastery that serves as the seat of the government. Next, visit the King’s Memorial Chorten, a spiritual monument built in memory of the third King of Bhutan. Later, guests will have the opportunity to explore the National Textile Museum to learn about Bhutan’s rich weaving traditions. The day concludes with a visit to the bustling weekend market, offering a glimpse into local life and culture.

Thimphu to Gangtey
Today, we will embark on a scenic drive to Gangtey, a picturesque valley in Phobjikha known for its wildlife, especially the endangered Black-Necked Cranes. En route, one will cross the Dochula Pass, where panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas will be enjoyed. Upon arrival in Gangtey, we will visit the Gangtey Monastery and take a peaceful walk through Phobjikha Valley to enjoy its tranquility and natural beauty.

Gangtey to Punakha
After breakfast, we will drive from Gangtey to Punakha, Bhutan’s former capital. Upon arrival, we will visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, a beautiful fortress located at the confluence of two rivers, Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. Afterward, guests will take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility, and enjoy picturesque views. We will continue exploring with a visit to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley.

Full Day Sightseeing in Punakha
We will spend the day exploring Punakha Valley in depth. Visitors will wander through scenic paddy fields and tranquil riverbanks, diving deeper into the region’s history and culture. A leisurely walk through the lush countryside will follow, with the opportunity to visit nearby villages where one can interact with locals and experience their way of life. In the afternoon, guests will have time to relax and take in the valley’s beauty before returning to the hotel.

Punakha to Paro
After breakfast, we will head to Paro, a valley rich in history and home to some of Bhutan’s most important landmarks. Once we arrive, take a tour of the Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress dating back to the 16th century, which sits majestically over the Paro River. In the afternoon, guests will have leisure time to explore the quaint town or relax in the serene atmosphere.

Paro - Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike
Today, we will embark on one of the most iconic hikes in Bhutan – the journey to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang). Perched on a cliff 3,120 meters above Paro Valley, the monastery offers breathtaking views. The hike takes about 4-5 hours round trip, with lush forests, spiritual sites, and panoramic vistas along the way. After reaching the monastery, one can take time to soak in its beauty and spiritual significance before returning to Paro for the evening.

Departure from Paro
On the final day of this incredible Bhutan tour, we will enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departure. Depending on the flight schedule, there may be some free time for last-minute shopping or a leisurely walk around Paro town. Then, guests will be transferred to Paro International Airport for their onward flight.
